Orpheus
Designed to deliver the vintage sound of classic FET microphones, with full-bodied lows, present mids, and smooth highs — a musical response that sets it apart from modern condensers.
Some of the greatest inspirations for the development of this project were iconic models such as the AKG C414 EB, Neumann U47 FET, and Sony C-48.
In the pursuit of this more vintage sound, some design choices were fundamental to achieving this result.
- Its K47 capsule, the same used in the AH47 tube microphone, was designed by Neumann in the 1950s and used in classic microphones such as the U47, M49, and U47 FET.
- The components of the Orpheus are carefully selected; its transistors and capacitors are matched to ensure the highest consistency and quality in its construction.
- To prevent radio-frequency interference, the Orpheus uses two different noise filters in its construction. The Orpheus comes with an exclusive shock-mount design developed entirely by Analog Heroes.
Médios quentes e agudos super aveludados. Uma obra-prima da engenharia nacional.

CUSTOM K47 CAPSULE
For the Orpheus, we use a K47 type capsule, the same design employed in Neumann M49 and U47 microphones. With a dual-diaphragm and geometry focused on resonance control, this capsule offers a balanced response, defined mid-range, firm lows, and less harshness in high frequencies, in addition to good off-axis performance.

COMPONENTS
Carefully selected and matched components, with transistors and capacitors chosen to reduce noise and unit-to-unit variations. The Orpheus circuit prioritizes an excellent signal-to-noise ratio, ensuring sonic clarity and consistency.

ASSEMBLY
All microphones undergo a manual assembly process, with strict quality control.
Construction
The Orpheus is a condenser microphone entirely designed by Analog Heroes, with the idea of creating a FET microphone based on several models from the 70s and 80s, which, unlike more modern microphones, feature fuller lows and softer highs.
